Jeffrey W. Speights graduated from Dartmouth College in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Government. In college, Jeff was a four-year starter for the Dartmouth baseball team. After college, he earned his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2009, where he graduated summa cum laude. During law school, Jeff was a member of the Law Review and Moot Court Society.
Jeff has extensive legal experience, including working for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana, working as an associate attorney for one of the world’s largest law firms, and serving as in-house corporate legal counsel. Jeff has appeared in litigation matters in federal and state courts throughout California and is admitted to practice in all State Courts in California. Jeff is also admitted to practice in the federal district and bankruptcy courts for the Southern, Central, Northern, and Eastern Districts of California. He has abundant courtroom experience, including acting as lead counsel on multiple civil litigation matters involving homeowners associations. Jeff also acts as corporate counsel to homeowners associations, where he provides legal advice to guide boards through difficult and novel legal issues. Jeff resides in Vista, California with his wife Annie and two sons, Robert and Adam. In his free time, Jeff likes to golf, play basketball, and travel.
